Sending money overseas.
You can send a payment to an overseas bank account from any SBS Bank branch.
You have a few options for how you send your money.
- You can send a fixed New Zealand dollar amount, which will then be converted to the recipient’s currency.
- You can send a fixed amount in the recipient’s currency, and we’ll work out how much that will be in New Zealand dollars for you.
- You can send a fixed New Zealand dollar amount, which will be paid to the recipient in New Zealand dollars.
You will need to pay the amount directly from your SBS Bank account. In order to comply with New Zealand’s anti-money laundering laws, we can’t take cash over the counter and use it for an international payment.
