- Removal of $20 Dishonour Fee.
- Removal of $15 Stop Payment Fee.
- Removal of $10 Transaction Traces and Voucher Search Fee.
- Increased Duplicate and Paper Statement Fee to $2.50.

- Removal of the $65 Consent Fee

Changes to Debit Mastercard Terms & Conditions
28 October 2025
We are making changes to our Debit Mastercard Terms and Conditions. These changes will come into effect from 28 October 2025.
Summary of changes:
- Overall, we have improved the readability and comprehensibility of all our sections while still maintaining the current meaning.
- We have removed reference to signing your card before its use, and authorising transactions with a signature.
- We have removed reference to specific contactless transaction limits.
- We have updated the phone number in section 10.
- We have removed reference to the Account Fees and Charges document throughout and instead refer members to our website to view the latest version of our fees and charges.
- Section 15 has been updated where authorised funds may be held up to a maximum of 30 days.

Changes to Electronic Banking Terms & Conditions
22 October 2025
We are making changes to our Electronic Banking Terms and Conditions. These changes will come into effect from 22 October 2025.
A new subclause has been inserted under Clause 3 to detail certain payments being presented with tailored educational prompts. These messages are designed to help you pause and review key details before proceeding with your payment.
Additionally, we have removed the word “address” from the existing subclause 3.14 as we do not advise payees of your address, only name and account number.

Changes to General Terms & Conditions
1 October 2025
We are making changes to our General Terms and Conditions. These changes will come into effect from 1 October 2025.
A new section 5 has been inserted to detail the Confirmation of Payee service, and what that will mean when you instruct a SBS Bank Team Member to make a payment on your behalf. Further information around Confirmation of Payee can be found at sbsbank.co.nz/confirmation-of-payee
We have also updated clause 15.2 to enable us to advise you of any changes to these Terms and Conditions by way of: a notice on our website, a notice on our internet banking platform or mobile banking app, or a public notice in local newspapers when required by law.

Changes to SKIP Terms & Conditions
1 September 2025
We are making a change to our SKIP Terms and Conditions. This change will come into effect from 1 September 2025.
We are updating clause 3.4 regarding the requirement of maintaining your home loan with us. Previously, the minimum duration was three years, but we are extending this to four years. This will only apply to new lending taken out from 1 September 2025.
Additionally, we are removing reference to the Kainga Ora First Home Grant, as Kainga Ora have discontinued this offer. However, please note the Kainga Ora First Home Loan remains available to you.

Changes to Loan Terms and Conditions
10 February 2025
We are making a change to our Loan Terms and Conditions (dated 27 January 2016). This change will come into effect from 10 February 2025.
We are removing the following wording from clause 3 under ‘Reducing Flexi Loan’: “You can, at any time during the Term, request that your Flexi Loan is changed to a Reducing Flexi Loan. We will notify you of the amount of your regular reductions.”
