SBS will never ask you for your internet banking password, card number, security text codes or PIN number - in person, on the phone, in writing or by email. Bank Switching

What is Bank Switching?

The Bank Switching process takes care of moving your everyday banking payment instructions (Automatic payments, Direct Debits and Bill Payees), and account balances from your current bank to your new bank.

Here’s how.

  • Contact us or visit your nearest branch to discuss opening your accounts and complete a Switching Bank Request form.
  • We’ll handle the rest by contacting your current bank to complete the switch once we’ve received your signed paperwork.

What’s not covered in the switching process?

  • Redirecting any payments coming into your bank account such as salary or direct credits. You will need to contact anyone making payments into your account and ensure they have your updated details.
  • Recurring card payments. You will need to arrange to set these payments up on your new card.
  • Lending, overdraft, debit/credit cards, or any other products.
