As New Zealand prepares to move to the new Covid-19 traffic light system at 11:59pm tonight we wanted to let you know how SBS will operate to support our Members under the different levels. We will continue to review this and will let you know when anything changes. All of our SBS Bank branches will begin at the Orange level.
Under the new Orange level SBS branches will be open. At this level we ask that if you are able to do your SBS banking any other way you look to use that option instead of visiting a branch.
If you do need to visit a branch all public health orders must be followed, including the use of facemasks and 1 metre physical distancing. At this stage we do not require those accessing our branches to be vaccinated.
Under the new Red level SBS branches will be open, although there is the potential for reduced opening hours. This is for urgent over-the-counter transactions and hardship-related support only.
If you do need to visit a branch all public health orders must be followed, including the use of facemasks and 1 metre physical distancing. We do not require those accessing our branches to be vaccinated.
Under the new Green level SBS branches will be open as normal. To help keep everyone safe we still ask that Members wear a mask when visiting your local branch. We do not require those accessing our branches to be vaccinated.
The above requirements are based on the most current resources and information available at this time. As the government continues to develop and explain what is required at the different levels these requirements are likely to be adjusted. We will keep you informed of any changes.
