After two years of preparation and hundreds of volunteer hours spent bringing the Cromwell Lot47 project to life the amazing house is now finished and ready to be auctioned off on November 26th.

The Lot 47 project is a community initiative led by the Rotary and Lions clubs with the goal of raising $200,000 to help St John with the cost of building a new state of the art ambulance station to service Central Otago.

The new Ambulance station was recently completed and is currently in full operation, with two ambulances, 24 full time staff and a number of casual and volunteer staff now active in the community.

At a total cost of more than $3million to build, the Lot47 project is an important source of fundraising, with all profits from the home’s sale going toward this cost.

To help make the project a success local tradespeople, businesses and community volunteers donated their time, money and energy to build the Lot47 home at as little cost as possible to achieve a maximum profit.

SBS Bank Cromwell was proud to come on board at the beginning of the project as an official supporter, with staff holding fundraisers, hosting events for volunteers and getting stuck in to work around the property.

As part of these fundraising efforts a special home loan offer was put out to locals by SBS Cromwell to thank the community for all of their support. As part of this promotion $500 was donated to Lot47 for every new home loan taken out with the branch.

Following the Friday auction the SBS Cromwell team have one final community shout planned to celebrate the home's sale and to thank all the tradespeople and volunteers who helped make the project such a success.

SBS Cromwell Branch Manager, Sue Bingham, said the new ambulance station was a huge win for the community and the team were thrilled to have had the opportunity to support such a worthy cause.

"Being able to support this project has just highlighted to the rest of Cromwell that SBS is the community bank that stands behind & supports its locals."

The amazing home is now available for viewing ahead of the auction at the end of this month, with the property boasting a large open plan living and kitchen area, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a spacious double garage.
