SBS announce that Ms Linda Robertson will be joining the SBS Bank Board effective 1st April 2023. Linda is a professional non-executive director with over 30 years’ governance experience. In the corporate environment she has worked predominately in the finance and energy sector where she held various senior management roles.
Linda has been a full time company director since 2015 and is an experienced director, chair and committee chair.
Her governance experience includes; listed, council controlled, government owned, co-operative and private companies, having held board positions since 1999.
She is a Certified Treasury Professional, a Distinguished Fellow of the Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand, a Chartered Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Directors, a Fellow of Governance New Zealand and a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Linda has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and a Diploma in Banking.
Appointed to the SBS Board in April 2023, Linda is currently Chair of Crown Irrigation Investments and Central Lakes Trust. She is currently a director of; New Zealand Local Government Funding Agency, Alpine Energy, NETcon, Horizon Group, Kordia Group and Invercargill City Holdings.
Linda is also a member of the Risk & Audit Committee and the Capital Markets Advisory Committee for The Treasury, the Audit & Risk Committee for the Office of the Auditor General and Audit New Zealand; and chairs the Audit and Risk Committee for Central Otago District Council.
Mr Joe O’Connell, SBS Chair confirmed he is pleased SBS was able to attract and appoint Ms Robertson to the SBS Bank Board and looks forward to having her join the Board.
